Welcome to DataMind Institute, Sri Lanka's premier business intelligence training provider. These Terms of Service constitute a legal agreement between you and DataMind Institute regarding your use of our educational services, online learning platform, and related offerings.

2. Prohibited Activities

Content Misuse: Redistributing, selling, or commercially exploiting our proprietary educational materials
Disruptive Behavior: Harassment, discrimination, or any conduct that interferes with the learning environment
Technical Interference: Using automated tools, viruses, or malicious code that may harm our systems

3. Fair Usage Guidelines

Resource Sharing: Reasonable use of bandwidth and system resources during peak learning hours
Support Requests: Utilize our support channels appropriately and allow reasonable response times
Geographic Access: Services are primarily designed for users within Sri Lankan jurisdiction

Account Management & Access

Account Creation Requirements

  • 1 Age Verification: Must be at least 18 years old or have guardian consent for enrollment
  • 2 Accurate Information: Provide truthful and complete personal and educational background details
  • 3 Contact Verification: Valid email address and phone number for course communications
  • 4 Prerequisites Check: Meet minimum educational or experience requirements for selected programs

Security Responsibilities

  • Password Security: Maintain strong, unique passwords and do not share login credentials
  • Account Monitoring: Report any unauthorized access or suspicious activity immediately
  • Device Security: Ensure devices used to access our platform are secure and up-to-date
  • Session Management: Log out from shared or public computers after use

Account Suspension & Termination

  • Violation Consequences: Suspension or termination for breach of terms or acceptable use policies
  • Temporary Suspension: May be imposed for investigation of policy violations or payment issues
  • Permanent Termination: Reserved for serious violations, repeated infractions, or fraudulent activity

Multiple Account Policies

  • Single Account Rule: One account per individual unless specifically authorized for corporate programs
  • Corporate Accounts: Separate terms apply for employer-sponsored or bulk enrollment accounts
  • Account Transfer: Limited transferability - contact support for program changes or corporate transitions

Service Availability & Limitations

Service Uptime & Maintenance

  • Target Uptime: 99.5% availability during business hours (9 AM - 6 PM Sri Lanka time)
  • Scheduled Maintenance: Advance notice provided for planned system updates and maintenance
  • Emergency Maintenance: Unscheduled downtime may occur for critical security or system issues
  • Status Updates: Real-time service status and outage notifications through email and platform alerts

Geographic & Feature Availability

  • Primary Coverage: Services optimized for users within Sri Lanka with local support hours
  • Language Support: Primary instruction in English with Sinhala and Tamil support where available
  • Internet Requirements: Minimum stable broadband connection required for optimal learning experience
  • Device Compatibility: Desktop, tablet, and mobile access with varying feature availability

Service Modifications & Updates

DataMind Institute reserves the right to modify, enhance, or discontinue any aspect of our services with appropriate notice:

  • Feature Additions: New tools and capabilities added regularly to enhance learning outcomes
  • Curriculum Updates: Course content updated to reflect industry trends and technology changes
  • Notice Period: 30-day advance notice for significant changes affecting enrolled students
  • Grandfathering: Enrolled students protected from adverse changes to their current programs

Intellectual Property Rights

Our Content Ownership

DataMind Institute owns all rights to our proprietary educational content, including but not limited to:

  • Video lectures, tutorials, and recorded sessions
  • Course materials, worksheets, and documentation
  • Practice datasets and analytical exercises
  • Software tools and custom BI applications

  • Certification programs and credentialing systems

License Grants to Students

Upon enrollment, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

  • Access Content: View and download course materials for personal educational use
  • Personal Use: Create notes and summaries for your own learning purposes
  • Study Groups: Discuss content with fellow enrolled students within our platform
  • Portfolio Use: Reference completed projects in professional portfolios with proper attribution

User-Generated Content Rights

For content you create while using our services:
